Colombian hydrangeas with full, luminous heads

White, blue, pink, green and antique tones grown at altitude, graded by measured head size and hydrated stem by stem before every shipment.

Hydrangeas from the Colombian highlands

Hydrangeas love exactly what the Bogotá savanna offers: cool, humid mornings, mild days and rich volcanic soils. Grown at altitude, our hydrangeas develop dense, rounded heads with firm florets that ship well and open beautifully at destination. We cut white, blue, pink and green, plus the antique tones that designers ask for in autumn and wedding work.

Color in hydrangeas is a craft: it depends on variety, soil chemistry and cutting point. Our growing team manages each bed individually to deliver stable, repeatable tones, so the blue you order in March is the blue you receive in October.

Grading by head size

Every stem is graded by head diameter into Select, Super Select and Jumbo, with the head measured, not guessed. Uniformity inside the box is what keeps bouquet lines and supermarket programs running smoothly, and it is the single thing our hydrangea clients say they notice first.

Hydration and packing

Hydrangeas are the thirstiest flower we grow, so post-harvest is built around water: stems are cut into hydration solution in the field, re-cut and re-hydrated in the packhouse, and shipped with individual water vials or gel caps on request. Boxes of 30 stems travel at 2–4 °C to Bogotá airport with the cold chain intact.

Availability

Production runs 52 weeks a year with stable volumes. Antique tones are strongest from late summer into autumn. Request this week's availability list to see colors, head sizes and volumes ready to ship.
