Why the Bogotá savanna

The savanna of Bogotá, in the department of Cundinamarca, sits at roughly 2,600 meters above sea level almost exactly on the equator. That combination is unrepeatable: twelve hours of intense daylight every day of the year, cool nights that slow the plant down, and days that never burn it. Flowers here develop more petals, deeper color and stronger stems than anywhere at low altitude — which is why this plateau became one of the great cut-flower regions of the world.

A family company, hands on

Vibra is family-run and deliberately integrated. We propagate our own plant material, manage our own beds, harvest with our own trained crews, run our own post-harvest and pack in our own facility. There is no link in the chain we do not control, and that shows up where it matters: in the consistency of the box you open at destination.

From bed to Bogotá airport

Harvest starts at first light, when field heat is lowest. Cut stems move to pre-cooling within hours, then into hydration and grading, where every bunch is checked twice before packing. Finished boxes wait in cold rooms at 2–4 °C and travel in refrigerated trucks to Bogotá's El Dorado airport (BOG), which offers daily wide-body freighter capacity to North America, Europe and Asia. From cut to aircraft, the cold chain does not break.
