Our flowers are carefully selected through a network of strategic growing partners across Colombia and Ecuador. We work with growers who share our commitment to freshness, consistency, exceptional varieties, and high production standards.
Two origins, chosen on purpose
Colombia and Ecuador are the two most important cut-flower origins in the Americas, and they are not interchangeable. Ecuador's equatorial highlands, at extreme altitude, produce the large-headed, long-stemmed roses that define the premium end of the market. Colombia's savanna offers extraordinary breadth — carnations, chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, fillers and bouquet assembly at scale — with stable volumes week after week.
Working across both gives our customers the best of each, plus something less obvious: resilience. Weather, logistics and seasonal peaks do not hit both origins the same way, so a program built across two countries is far harder to disrupt than one tied to a single farm.
How we choose a growing partner
We are selective, and we stay selective. A grower joins the Vibra network only when they meet criteria we can verify and then keep meeting them season after season:
- Freshness discipline: pre-cooling within hours of harvest and a cold chain that genuinely holds, not just on paper.
- Consistency: the ability to deliver the same specification every week, not only when conditions are easy.
- Exceptional varieties: a genuine point of difference — the varieties, colours or grades that a program can be built around.
- High production standards: professional post-harvest, grading that is measured rather than estimated, and traceability to the bed and the harvest date.
- Responsible practice: responsible water and crop management, and fair, formal employment for the people who grow and cut the flowers.
Long relationships, not spot buying
We do not chase the cheapest box on the open market. Our partners know our customers' programs, plan production around them, and are paid fairly and on time — which is precisely why they hold quality for us when supply gets tight. Every buyer who has been through a Valentine's peak understands the value of that.
What this means for your program
You get access to a portfolio far broader than any single farm could offer, sourced from whichever origin does each product best, under one specification and one point of contact. And because we are selecting rather than growing, we can be honest with you: if a product is better bought elsewhere in a given week, we will tell you.
